In cooperation with the MARKK museum, we will be making a tour of three completely different cuisines across one Saturday lunchtime, sitting at big, fun tables and discovering new tastes. A sort of worldwide tour inside just one Kiez (Rothenbaum). Imagine eating a Peruvian starter in one restaurant, then having an interesting stroll as we explore the district and its migrants, then a main course from Punjab, and onto dessert in an Azerbaijani bistro.
At a time when racist politicians seek to divide us, we want to explore what migration really brings to Europe, and how it enriches our lives, through music, art, dynamism, language, dance and food. In each of our restaurants, we will speak to the cook about how they had to change the food to sell it to Germans. And of course we get the chance to compare service, décor, language, music and presentation around the world. Come and meet some fun new people, and a new way of understanding the city. At the end, we will have a tour of the MARKK Museum also.
