Jane Jacobs was a campaigner for good city life. Even in 1961, she was able to write a book which still stands as the key text on building liveable neighbourhoods. She campaigned bravely, successfully against some very powerful people, in NYC. And we will celebrate her work this weekend, all over Vienna and the world.
Let’s step inside some less-visited parts of the UNESCO world heritage site that is Vienna’s Inner City. Eugene Quinn (spaceandplace.at) loves the cinematic qualities, and silence, of so many hidden corners in the centre of our city. Especially on Sunday mornings.
